=== The Viridescent One’s Motivation: === The Viridescent One is driven by a corrupted vision of immortality, seeking to dismantle the balance of life and death that governs the natural world. It views the Great Weave as an affront to the true potential of life, believing that nature’s cycles are a trap that force all beings into an endless loop of birth, growth, decay, and death. The Viridescent One’s goal is to break free from this cycle, creating a reality where life can persist eternally, even if twisted and corrupted beyond recognition. Its hatred for the natural order manifests in its desire to see all life warped by rot and disease, with flora and fauna existing in a state of perpetual, distorted growth. The Viridescent One is especially interested in how the unraveling of the Weave will affect nature, knowing that as magic falters, the cycles it once upheld will also falter, allowing it to impose its own grotesque vision of eternal life upon the world.
