The Viridescent One’s purpose within the Cabal is to disrupt nature’s bond to the Weave, weakening the natural cycles that maintain life and balance. As nature falters, so too does the Weave’s stability, creating fractures that <u>[[Durnstang]]</u> can exploit to sever the ties between life and death. The Viridescent One works closely with the <u>[[Maltherion]]</u>, its blight and rot feeding the necromantic power of his undead armies.

While the other Cabal members may focus on mortal society or magical structures, the Viridescent One targets the land itself, ensuring that even nature is drawn into the apocalyptic spiral that Durnstang intends to unleash. The Viridescent One’s actions help bring the world closer to a state of primordial chaos, where life exists only as a twisted shadow of itself, paving the way for Durnstang’s final act of severing the Weave entirely.
