===Session Thirty Two- 31st January 2025===

The cultist's leader, a woman named Elva, tries to banish the demon, but fails as the party start to deal with the other cultists.  The demon rushes over to Elva and grabs her in its pincers, crushing her in a nasty grapple.

Again Elva tries to banish the demon, this time successfully, and she stumbles back to her feet before looking daggers at the party.  Mogadon tries to target her with a Guiding Bolt, but she manages to avoid it.  He tries again, and this time critically succeeds, a powerful blast of radiant energy hitting her and breaking her concentration on the banishment spell.   The demon pops back into existance.  Howling with frustration, Elva calls down a flamestrike, hitting the demon, Drex and Morthos, but ending up doing minimal damage.   An imp pops into being, stabbing at Drex before attempting to fly away.  Drex swings his quaterstaff and smashes it out of the air with a critical hit.

The battle is very quickly over after that - and Drex keeps the demon around as they realise that two of the cultists he had seen earlier were missing.   As the group started to exit the House of Chaos, they discovered a gruesome sight - the prisoners they had released earlier - their bodies lying where the cultists had no doubt killed them.

Outside, Drex persuades the Glabrezu to open a portal and return to the Hells from which it came - which it does, but it tells Drex it will remember him.

The group return to find their horses, luckily unharmed, albeit a little hungry having been left for a day and a half on their own in the wilderness.   Mounting up, they start to head south-west, looking for The Emperor's Tower, where they hoped to find another of the druid ghosts with more details about the ritual components and words of power that would be needed.

For the next three days the group travelled, camping twice in the wilderness.  On one camp, Cormir spotted a giant moving through the darkness nearby - it sniffed the air but didn't seem to notice the camp.   The following evening, as the group made camp, a storm could be seen approaching.  Drex persuaded his horse to lie down and then set up the dome around it.  The other horses were left to fend for themselves outside - though when the storm actually arrived, Cormir stepped outside to help the horses, only to get thrown into a wall by a particularly strong gust of wind.   Morthos also stepped outside, having secured a rope to a stake in the ground first and managed to aid both Cormir and the horses to survive the brief tonado that had swept through the camp.

Near the afternoon of the following day, the group eventually spotted the broken remains of what might have once been a sizeable tower.  The air smellt a little off near the tower, and a steel trapdoor could be seen.  It was trapped, but having disarmed the traps (by means of setting them off with a mage-hand) the group opened the trapdoor and looked down.  An iron ladder led down 60' to a large room with one door and a table covered in books and papers being the only contents.   Cormir climbed a little way down the iron ladder and using his mage hand cantrip, gathered the papers and books and brought them up to the surface for the party to examine.
