===Session Forty Two - 28th Nov 2025=== The adventurers, weary but resolute after their victory over Shelebaz Gal’Nara, the formidable Valok once transformed from a dwarven queen, stepped into the shadowy depths of the tomb of Gal’Nara. As they assessed their injuries, Drex took the lead, casting Cure Wounds to mend their wounds before the party decided to take a short rest to gather their strength. During this moment of respite, an unsettling aura of abjuration magic emanated from the main sarcophagus, drawing their curiosity. Upon investigation, they encountered Nalla the Gifted, a ghostly druid ensnared within a barrier that thwarted her incorporeal movement. With a flicker of sorrow in her ethereal voice, Nalla recounted her tale of woe—how she had entered the tomb through a wall and faced Shelebaz Gal’Nara, who had been augmented by the dark influence of Zancrown, a massive demon. She revealed that the queen had sealed herself within the tomb to protect her subjects as her transformation loomed. Nalla’s recounting unveiled the tragic history of the druids, including a glacier ritual that led to their untimely demise and return as spirits. She mentioned fellow druid spirits, Targonoth The Brave and Zelgar The Quick, whom the adventurers had previously encountered. Most importantly, Nalla informed them of the components needed to complete a crucial ritual: the claw of a gazebo and the jawbone of a dragonkin, specifically a wyvern. The party remembered their past encounter where they had decapitated a wyvern and gifted its head to Twiggy, the town leader, sparking hope that the jawbone might still be within reach. After their rest, Drex summoned his magic to dispel the barrier, freeing Nalla from her confinement. Grateful for their aid, she encouraged the adventurers to take valuable items from the tomb before she departed to seek Feriae the Wise. The group collected Shelebaz Gal’Nara’s war crown, a potent artifact for clerics or paladins, along with a hefty sum of 1,000 gold pieces and an unidentified silvery potion. As they delved deeper into the tomb, the adventurers uncovered various magical items, including a headband that provided bonuses against charm and fear, and a Periapt Of Wound Closure. In a moment of respect, Drex chose to leave Shelebaz Gal’Nara’s war crown among her remains, reciting words of acknowledgment for her sacrifice. Opening another chamber, they discovered a Gemmed Anvil Pendant and additional gold, further enriching their haul. Among the treasures were potions of vitality, fire breath, heroism, and stone giant strength, which the group eagerly divided amongst themselves. With their preparations complete, the adventurers resolved to depart the tomb complex and return to Tamar Crossing, their minds set on retrieving the components they needed. However, upon exiting, they were met with a troubling sight: their ponies were missing, with signs suggesting they had either fled or been taken. Tracking the clues, they uncovered giant footprints nearby, hinting at the recent passage of towering, armored giants. Outside, they unfolded a Portable Hole, revealing a storehouse brimming with construction materials that could prove invaluable in the rebuilding of Tamar Crossing. Recognizing the potential of these supplies, they carefully refolded the Portable Hole for transport. The party chose to travel overland for approximately six days, setting off toward Tamar Crossing. Each morning, Drex conjured food and water to sustain them. On the second day, they noted a remarkable regrowth in the landscape, likely due to residual magic from their previous encounters. However, on the second night, their camp was disrupted as thorny vines erupted from the ground, forcing them to evacuate to avoid being ensnared. Continuing their journey, they stumbled upon a stone tablet inscribed with a spell reminiscent of Wall of Fire, which they stowed away for future use. As they approached the fourth day, their path crossed with three frost giants—two armed with axes and a shaman standing behind them. The shaman unleashed a powerful strike against their protective dome, prompting the party to act swiftly. In a moment of tactical brilliance, they deployed a Light-enchanted stone, illuminating the giants and provoking a Cone of Cold attack from the shaman that engulfed the dome in freezing energy. The adventurers retaliated with Hellish Rebuke, successfully damaging the shaman and preparing for the confrontation as they dropped the dome. Cormir, empowered by Haste from Morthos, surged forward with fierce determination, unleashing a flurry of strikes against the shaman. Spank, the fire elemental companion, joined the fray, sending bursts of flame into the chaos. The Frost Giant Shaman stood gravely wounded, while the other two giants awaited their turn, tension thick in the air as the battle unfolded.
