The Luna Valley is an area some 6000 square miles, bordered on three sides by mountains and to the east, the coast of Delos Bay.
The valley has, for as long as most can remember, been dominated by a large glacier that covered most of the valley, leaving only small areas closer to the sea clear of ice.
Independent colonists settled here many years ago, and a number of settlements sprung up - including Safeharbour, the main town/city on the coast, Sweetwater, a quiet community settled around a lake fed by meltwaters from the glacier, Hemlet, a small logging village on the slopes of the southern mountains, and Tomar's Crossing, a village on a tall hill that stuck up out of the glacier.
